The Explorer! Now that's a funny guitar! I'm a Gibbo wannabe if ever there was one, but that red Ibanez of Gopal's looks way cool too.

Alex! That's a monster, err, axe you have there buddy. I'd be worried about getting it in me eye, but how's that sound? Can one tame it?

Danny, is there not a patch update for the POD 2 to XT it? Not checked like..

Tims, Our drummer used to lend me his Pacifica Tel as back up for me own dreadful Strat many a year ago. NEVER bust a string on it. Good guitar. He'd fitted humbuckers on it. Electric blue it was. Sorry, sounding like Alan Partridge here..

And now here's Tomer with my dream guitar ever. The Les Paul.

Here's a bloke who's got one and a decent amp. And band. And songs..

My mate payed nearly 3k for it. worth it? you tell me...

Imo,the sound is in the hands of the player and far less in the guitar his playing.
I would say 50% player,30% amp,20% guitar.

Well, yeah, It's probably 99.9% the player for anything. Guitar keyboards drums, violin whatever. Nothing beats a great instrument when you know you can play it though.

Maybe there's some way of hacking it... Don't think so though - there's quite a few major hardware differences between the two units.

By the way, I've got one of those Vox Valvetronix practise amps and that's a great little modelling amp but sadly it's only got a headphone output - maybe I should try sticking it through the effects and filters on my Virus? Now there's a thought...

I've acctually built my own guitar (electric) - It's really nice and has a warm and rich sound. But I don't play anymore, the problem is that I am really unlucky with my hands.

Left hand = I got into trouble and accidently put my hand thru a window causing major damage to three of my fingers. And still to this day it hurts like hell.
Right hand = Last christmas, I fell (erhm..) and broke two fingers and crushed two of 'em knuckles causing ever more pain than in the left hand and I still can't use them fingers 100%.

Both my hands feel stiff and if I try to train them it just hurts. And I am noway as fast as I once was on guitar. I can't even play the keyboard anymore because of me old hands. They really do suffer because of me

Bloody hell Sebastian. Hope you're getting back into shape there mate. Pics of your guitar please maybe?

Danny, just checked. You're right. No xt updgrade. You're probably better off with the pod 2 through yer virus rather than the amp I would have thought. No?

Doesn't hurt to experiment

Sorry to hear about all that 3o3 - I had problems with tendonitis when I went through an Yngwie Malmsteen shred phase. I know a couple of people who've developed Carpel Tunnel Syndrome simply through playing guitar. It's really frustrating when your body won't do what you want it to - I think that's why I've got more into synths and sequencing. The only limits are creative ones rather than physical ones

matsa: My hands will be fine otherwise, too bad.. If the head is stupid, the body suffers.

As you can see, I lost ye old knobs when I modified it to get a better tonecontrol.. I haven't used the guitar for many years now.. I built it when I was 16 and used it every day for a year and since then it has only been stored in the attic.

Hey! Cool! Did you make the body all yourself or was it once a strat? Like what you've done with the tele style bridge. Ie, drilling through that and the body like a strat to thread the strings.
I take it you're a lefty then?
