Well I took my TI back to Guitar Center and they sent me a Brand New one. It got delivered on 12/23/08 and I hooked it up, went through the update process without a hitch and everything seems to be going smoothly. I must have had a bad one or something. I'm stoked now. I got it going in Cubase and now I'm going through the process of learning Cubase.

I haven't had trouble with any updates thank god(touch wood) but i had to send my virus to scotland to get repaired once which was a ballsache.

I bought my TI Polar on eBay (got a sweet deal compared to retail), and applied the 2.7.5 patch as soon as it arrived. Went through without a hitch. I performed the update from a new MacBook Pro laptop.
I wish I could offer some suggestions for what might make the patch process go smoother, but it's really all up to the custom software that Access writes for these machines. That being said, I can't think of a good reason why a software patch would cause an irretrievable hardware failure like the crash that the first poster mentioned. I would guess that the hardware was dodgy to begin with and that the software patch just exposed that problem. - max |
I dont have one Virus TI,the last OS for my Virus is from 2004 but im a IT Technician and I recommend shut down firewalls, antivirus, antispyware or any kind of "police" software for avoid any interaction with ports and data transfer between the computer and the keyboard.
