The V-synth XT is too bloody expensive here in sweden.

18.995:- SEK bah. better to get an 2nd hand v-synth instead, argh i want one

Yeah,
I would defenitely recommend one. The wavetable you can create by slowing a sample down are nasty:twisted: (i mean that in a good way!) . Just getting into it, as I had to work all weekend. But the 303 filter is juicy, as is all the amp modeling on it too. I am going to load in some of my own samples tonight and mangle them. Once I get some webspace up and running again (notice the avatar is gone), I will post before and after sounds.

Sounds cool Merlot, I am really looking forward for some 'own' patches instead of the presets

Me too!

I have to admit, I'd rather the keyboard version than the rack too actually. Price is one factor, but the hands on controls to everything is another.

If only they didn't put the V-cards and that colour screen in the rack - maybe then it would be cheap enough for everyone to get their hands on.

If you all had a V-synth what sounds would you put into it first?

Recently I have been making sounds on my sampler using power-tools (fucking evil sounds I tell you), so power tools are what I'd be putting in first.

Fuck I've gotta get one of these boards! It's driving me nuts. Dream "If" questions are even coming out of me now. :(

I'd would take small clips from my own sampled sounds and just tweaked the shit out of it.

i guess i wanted the XT also cuz it has the jp8000 analogue modelling engine built into it :( it would be like getting 2 great synths for the price of...well...2 great synths. 303 is right - it costs a fricking fortune.

Just so you know, you don't have to buy the XT if you want the JP stuff, as the V-synth keyboard has the Supersaw and feedback OSC too with OS version 2.

The keyboard doesn't have the D50 or vocal card built in though.

Just an update. i will be getting some webspace again on the 15th of the month. i will post some stuff I have been working on then.

BTW, everybody get one of these. The Vari engine is so cool. I took a vocal sample of a girl singing, mangled it, ran it through sideband filter, aand some other fx, and it ended up sounding like pounding rain and thunder.
