Well, I did it!
I bought a V-synth. Should be here by end of next week. I just moved down from the TI|Keyboard to the desktop model. That is it for me. So long for the new computer for awhile. At least til I can save up some more $$$$$.

Nice choice Merlot.
I envy you coz I won't be able to afford anything like that for a long while now as I just blew a load on a set of monitors. (Mission Pro SM6A) there is a pic of them in the studio pics area.

As soon as I read the thread title I knew what you were going to say.
I am more jealous than I can even put down in words!
I'm looking forward to comparing patches when I end up with one - someday.

sounds good all. I will be sure to post some examples of what it can do once I get my head around it. i cant wait to run the TI through it!
Hopefully it is money well spent, b/c i had been saving up for a long time. I was going to get a new computer and the TI, but decided my powerbook was fine and did this instead.
HC - Defenitely want to mangle some of those drum loops you come up with.
Tranz - we ought to do like a G2/V-synth mangle!

No problem.
You might wanna think about getting a flash ram card for the V-synth too by the way. Makes it very easy to boot with all your own samples and stuff.
Did I say I was jealous?

I need to check, but I know you can stream stuff back and forth via the USB cable. Dont know how fast it works, but it will have to do for awhile, since I am broke now..

That's true, but from what I've read, people seem to prefer loading in from the flash and adding new waves from USB. I supose it's along the same lines as storing patches in the machine rather than loading new patches from the computer everytime.
At any rate, you can store a fair few waves without a flash card at first. I know if I was getting one though, all new waves would be going into the thing.
You are one lucky man!
