There is a switch under the button (two separate pieces). The button will act like an umbrella, shielding the switch from the contact cleaner.
Spraying down the side of the button probably won't do anything.

You may need to disassemble the synth to get to the switch.
If switch is a sealed switch (I don't know), then contact cleaner won't work, you may need to replace the switch.

But, I'm not the expert on this.
