From a business perspective.....implementing USB1 into the TI was a good idea as everyone who comes to learn and use the TI features will wet themselves when they finally get all 16 parts to play with. Not that Id necessarily use all these features myself...the TI MKII is the one Ill be holding out for....if for nothing else better re-sale value in the event University debt gets too big...

what about when the next "virus" product comes out after the so called
"mkII" vaporware?
then the mkii's resale value will be shot too.Technology is seldom a worthy
*investment.

You buy it to use in the here and now.

I reckon Nord will deliver a TI firewire synth before then or Korg or someone.

USB v1 is pretty much heading towards becoming obsolete, though. You don't see many current USB v1 soundcards, for example.

But then again, I don't reckon Access were going for "everything-down-one-pipe" bizness with the TI mk1. More, an extension of a custom/enhanced SoundDiver-type controller, MIDI data transmission, and a few audio streams along the way.
Personally I'd still be using the hardware analogue outs of the TI, and maybe use the integration just for the graphic VST-i wrapper and MIDI controlling side of things.

A firewire version will put the Mk2 in good stead, though.

Has anyone realized the potential of wireless USB with the virus TI yet?

WiFi has even greater latency, though? Not good for critical realtime stuff, I wouldn't've thought. Nice idea, though.
