Subosc1 - As far as VA's go...the Virus is the darkest sounding of them all....and you probably already know this. Thats one of the reasons why the Virus excels at atmospheric soundscapes.
Ive used the Moog filters extensively and I'm of the opinion that they are even darker sounding than the standard Virus LP. The differences between the Virus LP and Moog appear subtle at first......but you will soon hear the aggressive nuances in the Moog filter type. The Moog filter can sound so raw that its painful to the ears. Probably one of the most expressive/rawest digital filters ever made. What version of the Virus do you currently have? DS
