Welcome to the forum first of all.
 You can back up your banks by recording them as a midi file into your sequencer. Then you can give Sounddiver a decent try. I have heard Sounddiver has trouble with some midi interfaces, but I really don't know - I don't use it and never have tried it. Good luck.
