Hey Jayson,

I've learned LIVE is the "shiznit", but also that it has a sort of learning curve all of its own.

When I first started dinkering around with audio/MIDI sequencers I used a bundled version of Cubase ("Cubasis" now "Cubase LE") and it sucked royally, very clunky.

Then Tracktion 2 was released. Ahhhhhhh, so simple and intuitive, yet so powerful. All you need to access is on a single screen, tracks, control panel, plugins, racks, etc. It's a bloody engineering masterpiece I tell you.

It also works with Mac and PC, so you're not platform limited.

I have like 6 licenses of it (you get 2 licenses per retail box and I got a few more with bundled Mackie gear) and I have never wanted for another sequencer, or wanted to upgrade to Tracktion 3 (yet).

Give it a go!

hey Jayson, welcome to the forum. I am a big big fan of Ableton Live. Just like Alex said, there is a learning curve to it, but once you understand how to use it, you'll really be hard pressed to go back to another daw. The session view alone makes the product worth purchasing!
