you need to get a simple adapter to convert the US powerplug shape into the aus power plug shape, itll cost you about 20 bucks. just take your plug into a jaycar or something similar and it will work. I believe the TI can run on different voltages so it can be toured etc etc.

I'd be VERY careful with this route, as I have read horror stories on Korg Forums where people in Europe bought an american microkorg r3 etc. and just used an 'adapter' to convert the shapes. Their keyboards ended up getting fried.

Now, my knowledge of circuitry is the bare minimum, So I'm sorry I can't provide any specific advice other than to be careful on what kind of adapter it is.

This is the wrong way about it. I bought a TI desktop 1 from USA when they first came out. For a few years I just used my European power supply for a virus b (which is a 240 wall wart just different wall fitting).
Then one day I just tried a matching amps Australian wall wart, it is 1Amp 12volt for Australia, works fine for years now. The usa one is going to be 110volts and will not convert with a simple adaptor like the Euro one I used, google '240 to 110 step down adaptor' and you'll see there a bit cumbersome, not convenient. Plus if you find a regulated power supply it will match 100%, some unregulated wall warts say 12v but give 14v or 11v etc depending on the amount of load.
