There's a great part in 'the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy' when the one ship had all the great thinkers & inventors where on one, & all the workers that did things & produced things where on another & all the other people like accountants, insurance agents, lawyers, tax collectors, telephone sanitizers etc. where on another ship. Some how the third ship got lost when trying to get to the next planet humans where trying to colonize...someone gave them the wrong co-ordinates
Unfortunately the entire population of the new planet was wiped out by a disease caught from dirty telephones
