I was just trying to get the .mid file of the patch......but not having too much success. I went into Sound Diver, and clicked on my patch, and then selected "Export MIDI file" from the file menu. but I dont think this worked. Is this how you do it?

Please excuse the ignorance! Thanks,

Jase

To dump a single sound...this is what I do:

Setup your sequencer in the usual manner for recording/playing midi tracks. Make sure ur Virus is midied upto ur soundcard etc etc.

Goto your Virus and select the patch u want to dump. Then press the System/Multi Edit button. Scroll through till you see the option Midi Dump TX Single Buff . Select track 1 in your sequencer (make sure its a midi track and not an audio one) and press record. Then press Store on your Virus and hey presto the patch will be dumped to ur sequencer. It will only take about 1 second to dump. Then press stop on your sequencer. You should then see the midi file sitting in track 1. Within your sequencer goto File - Export - midi file.....follow the on screen instruction and dump it to ur desktop (or wherever u can easily find it) and hey presto that should be that.

Next log onto the Virus forum here and make a post and 'Add attachment'. Then Ill be able to d/l ur .mid patch file. Alternatively email it to me as an attachment to: thesynthwizard@hotmail.com

I apologise if this sounds patronising...but I wasnt sure how to explain it properly

Hope this is ok

Thanks for that mate!

No offense taken (reatronizing).....I needed a pretty detailed explanation, as this is not something I have done before.

If you are still keen, I will download the patch and send it to you. I wouldnt mind hearing what could be done with the sound to improve/enhance it.

Thanks,

Jase

Thanks for those sounds......still havent gotten around to listening yet.

Just to check, to load them I just play them to the virus from my sequencer, and then save them somewhere??

I will post my latest sound on my website as soon as I get around to it.

Cheers,

Jason
