are you saying it is crappy to play hammond emulation on fully weighted keys?

now that is a load of crap...

i personally think playing *anything* on fully weighted keys beats any of the decks produced by *any* modern keyboard/synth manufacturer.

but i guess those who have only ever played on cheap, plasticky keys wouldnt know any better.

may as well buy an m-audio controller and virus poco....

cheers

You know those fast Hammond glissandos that sound like "wwrrau"? Try to paly those on fully weighted. You end up loosing your fingers. ?hih. Hammods should have as light keytouch as possible + soft waterfalls. That would be the original Hammond keyboard and it truly is the best organ keyboard around. Fully weighted is the worst keyboard for Hammonds, believe me.

Electro had a nice touch in a way that the keyboard wasn't too stiff for Hammonds, but also wasn't too light for Rhodes. It was excellen compromise keyboard. But on the other hand that new Stage Clavia is designed to be played with additional keyboard, but still the loss of the only waterfall keyboard of synth market was a shame.

I'll bet it comes out for retail sale before the Virus TI does.

Actually, it ain't all that bad!

Even has wavetable, FM, and the usual subtractive synthesis in addition to the pianos/organs models.

http://www.clavia.se/news/nordstagechecklist.htm

And a host of effects to boot!
