I hear ya, there are definitely pros and cons to living in the big apple.

Pros - anything you can think of is close by. The diversity, the food, the music . . . etc.
Cons - stuff like this - http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/01/08/ny.....ap/index.html

The funny thing is that your conclusion was correct and is the missing link in science today. Everything is in vibration. It is the only explanation to alot of the historical mysteries of the world. How did the Egyptians move giant stones and cut them with lazer precision?

Vibration. They understood how to manipulate it better than we do.

Makes perfect sense to me, fuck everyone else, I'm smart :X

Well, besides the dead birds, Austin is a great city to live in. Take all the stereotypes you have about Texans and pretty much throw it out the window (at least in Austin). Very youthful city - I think the median age is around 35. Now granted it isn't nyc. I lived in manhattan for a while and I still do miss it. But Austin is an very fun place. As far as cost of living, fairly reasonable for a city (though guaranteed to be less expensive than anything you can get in manhattan) One problem i have is that I do my grocery shoppint at Whole Foods (their headquarters is here in austin). I swear I drop a paycheck everytime I shop there!!

Is there plenty to do and see in Austin? Alot of outdoor activities there or in the area?

Definitely. The weather plays a big part with this. For about 3 months (july, aug, sept) it really is very hellish here, but after that you get about 7 to 8 months of heavenly temps. Ultimately it depends on what you like to do, but there is pretty much everything here. I am an avid mountain biker and there are quite a few hike and bike trails throughout the city. Of course if you are a snow boarder or skier, you should probably look elsewhere
