Oh and how well does the Nord Lead compare to that Disco DSP Discovery vst which is a blatant copy?

Some software synths can come pretty close - ABL Bassline and the TB303 for example

Also something about a memory card thats needed with one of them?

Can any of you guys fill me in on these rumours? Is there a forum for Nord lead users or any fan websites?
The guy I've been doing colaboration stuff with lately has a Nord lead 3 and a Micro mod. There are slight differences, specially when making them scream. The Nord lead 3 can do so much more though - just a pitty it doesn't have an input.

The original Nord lead 2s need a PCMCIA card to be able to dump patches to a sequencer. You also need it if you wanna store more than 40 patches! These are expensive now too. The Nordlead 2x doesn't need a card, but as the quality of the DA conversoin has changed they may sound different to the original. Don't know though - never tried one.

As far as software being as good. Don't know about that either. When it comes to a real TB though, I don't agree, nothing touches it.

Thanks for the heads up.

I'll have to be careful when looking for a Nord lead because most of the ebay sellers just happen to "forget" to mention that about the PCMCIA card

I know the nord lead 2 has more features than the nord lead 1, but quite a few people who have been selling the 1 claim it sounds better than the 2
I'd normally think it was just because they're trying to sell it. But ive heard a few other people say the same.

Anyone on here know anything about that?

Im just not sure which to buy
