Default os update with windows media player

how do you update os and dump patchs using windows media player?
also i wasnt sure if there is anything else you need to do in addition to just hooking up the computer to the virus with a midi cable. is there anything else you need to do after you have hooked that up?

Hi

You can use WMP to load up midi files (i.e. OS updates and sounds) into the Virus....but as far as I know you cant record midi. For that you'll need to use a sequencer (i.e. Cubasis, Cubase etc). Perhaps someone can correct me if im wrong.

Sorry...I misinterpreted ur q...i thought you were wondering how to use WMP to dump midi aswell.

Open up wmp. Then from within wmp 'open' your midi file (whereever that might be...desktop?). Get your virus hooked upto midi in/out of ur soundcard....select on the virus that you want to force to BANK A. Then hit play on wmp.

so i thought i had the os update working but then after it had finished it said it had failed. I get the impression there is something i need to adjust on the virus before starting the update but im not really sure what that is. on the readme it says that there should be an explanation of this in the manual but i cant find anything.
