My pianoteacher is selling his Sherman Filterbank 2. I was considering buying it. He want?s 3900 dkr. for it (about 520?, 370? or 675US$). It?s in perfect condition and comes with all manuals and rack-ears. Is this a fair price (considered that music equipment is fairly expensive in Denmark)?

sounds about average. I have seen them go lower though. Search on ebay to see what they are going for.

I'd say as merlot - it's an average-price, and i'd love too have a filterbank aswell. Go for it

I did a check on ebay but there wasn?t any. I also checked "den bl? avis" (the blue newspaper) witch is like ebay in a danish verison (the name refers to old times when it was as a newspaper, well it still is but on the web too now). There was one other that was 100 dkr. (about 10?) more expensive. I think i?ll go for it. Can?t wait to destroy some sounds

Just borowed the monster form my piano-teacher today. I?ve been tweaking it for the last 4 hours non stop. I just can?t let go of it?s knobs

I sent a simple drumbeat from my Emu XL-7 through it turned it into something that would NEVER be taken for a drumbeat. This filter is truely evil

I makes biiiii into RHAAAOOOOORRRRRHHHHH and makes bass-drums sound like laserguns

I?m definetly not returning this baby. I already love it

One day I will get a sherman flt. I have the Virus flt and G2, I could stack up flts in G2 with saturation, compressors and other effx, again sherman is an analogue monster.

I can?t get The Virus filter sound anything like the Sherman filter and visa versa. I love the Virus filters but the Sherman has a really nasty evil sound that the Virus lacks. Then again the Sherman does seem to lack the ability to make things sound "nice" and clean. I think they will make a nice couple

The Sherman really has a life of it?s own. I guess it?s because it?s analouge.
