Nord 2X or ION?
What would you buy? Here in the UK I could buy an ION new for ?409 or an N2x for ?799.
Which would you buy? Any ION users in here?

Getting the itch to spend that TI money arent you???? I would go with the ion. Have not had much experience with a nord though. The ion is nice, the casing is cheaply made, as is the keybed. The ion has a nice distinct sound to it also. Get out and play one, or both.

I have heard very good things about the ION
One of the biggest sale points for me is that it has BALANCED OUTS!!
I'm so sick of "professional grade" keyboards that you still have to use DI boxes for when you play live.
Also, the big "hoopla" is the accuracy of the knobs and controllers.
Almost all digital synths including VA's is that the values for each knobs are only 8 bit. This means a granularity of only 256 points.
The ION is all 12 bit which will allow for 4096 points of resolution.
Plus the knobs are all 360 degree rotary encoders which means that you dont have to wory about "jumping"

Its a matter of taste ofcourse. Im not into the "do it all" synths with tons of features. I just want simple but great sounds and as many knobs as possible. NL2x for me.

I'm sure most of you know how I feel about my Nord - I'd never trade for an ION, put it that way.
Still I wouldn't mind having in ION too.
Buy both with decent outboard multi FX and scrap the TI idea DS. I know you wanna.

Hehe HC......
Yep im itching to spend on a synth. Always wanted a N2 since 2000......it was the first synth I ever played on. But then I bought a SCI Pro-One. I think the N2 would be a good pick as its great for electro music.
Virus TI and N2 sounds like a good VA combo for me + all the other true analogs at my disposal.
Ill let u guys know what I do over the next few days. HC would u be up for some N2 patch swaps?

it would be a better choice to go for virus ti+new powerful computer or dsp card for your exciting DAW.
this way you can record and work propely and not just fuck around with your synths.
