user programmable arpeggiator?
Hi - I tried searching, but phpBB's search function sucks.
I want to program my own melodic pattern into the VIrus KB's arpeggiator. I don't care about the rhythm (there's enough in the pre-programmed patterns) but I would like to be able to make a more complex melodic pattern than "up" "down" "up and down" "chord" or "random." how do i do that???
thanks !

You can?t program new arp-patterns if that?s what you want. You can only choose from the patterns and then take chords that go "up", "down", "up & down", "as played", "chord" and "random", how many octaves you like it to cycle over, the notelength and the swing. If you want anything besides this you must program it into a sequenser.

Like Dunkel said. Sequencer is the way. I do mine in sequencer anyway. Easy to manipulate volume per note, and such. . . . .

OK
OK, I can program it into a sequencer. But how do I upload it to the synth again?
My ultimate goal is to make new arpeggiator patterns in the same way that whoever made the existing arpeggiated patches did it. how do they get their patterns back to the synth to run natively?
thanks again for your responses so far.

You can?t upload new patterns to the Virus. It has the patterns you can chose from and only an OS update from Access can change this (exept if you?r somekind of master hacker who can decode the Virus and make your own OS updates ). But you can use a sequenser to program MIDI sequenses and play them to your Virus via MIDI.

Virus TI includes a programmable ARP (via the bundled computer based software). I was wondering the past few days whether they will make a version of Virus Control for earlier models (a, b and c) to allow you better control over the ARP.

Blay...was $2000 the exact amount in your account? Is that all you had in that account? Seems a strange amount someone would steal.....
