Default Anyone with $60,000 burning a hole in their pocket?

You'd at least have the coolest synth on your block...

I believe the BBC used one of those for all the original Dr Who sounds.....

Nice synths...a piece of history....but would it be good for techno? Muhahahaha

It was actually a woman called Delia Derbyshire that used one of these to create the Dr Who sounds - she's an unsung heroine in synths and was twiddling oscillators way back in the 50's. She died from alcoholism in 2001.

Not heard of her DS, but I'll check her out. Have a look at the link I've posted above, it's quite interesting IMO - Delia influenced Brian Eno, Pink Floyd and has been credited by The Chemical Brothers and Apex Twin on their work so she's not short of fans. I'd have loved to hear what she could do with a Virus

Interesting.....I wonder if she'd have embraced the VA concept?

Possibly. In the mid-nineties she says she developed a new enthusiasm for electronic music and threw herself into it all again, unfortunately time wasn't on her side.

I had one, but I traded it for some software synths. Can't fight the improvements with technology you know!
