Anyone ever used one of these before? I?m seriuosly considering bying one. I?we been considering Jomox for a long time but now i?m not so sure anymore Of course there?s the downside of no memory and only notes are recived by MIDI but it does sound like a "worth to consider" machinery. All analog, all hands on and not very expensive

From a purely practical perpective, I rather prefer the MD - easy to automate just about every aspect of it via MIDI (now that Ive made some device panels for it).

I do like the sound of that knobagey beast tho

Actually i find the chaos of not being able to control things 100% via MIDI and not being able to edit the knob turns afterwards appealing. All to often i find myself making those boring straight lines in Cubase instead og letting the my human imperfections colour my projects. I would like some patch memory though but i guess i can live with drawing some more knob sheets

accualy i emailed the guy who developed Microtonic and asked him to do an upgraded HW version of it,it seems his considering it.

Yeh - Im with you on the drawing thing, but I do like to be able to record automations and have the option to tweak some odd bit somewhere (maybe in the note data) and not have to go and do the whole auto sequence again

I even treat guitars like this - record wet and dry audio + midi automation to the guityar processor so i can change my mind about stuff without having to record the original guitar bit again (cos it takes me bloody ages to get it right)

I hear you. It?s just that i can?t help myself drawing around if i can. Ok, i do try not to but sometimes it?s just easier an i?m a lazy guy If i was forced to do all knob movements manually i would also get training in geting it right. A little like lerning to play a new instrument and as a side effect i would get knob movements with "a human feel"

Has anyone any experience with this bastard? Until now i?ve only read good rewievs with exception of already discused lack of memory and MIDI-tweakablelity (and a noisy headphone jack that i?m never gonna use anyway)...
