Surely your Motu Mk2 is pretty good enough already? Hook up an ADAT 8i/o card (the Behringer will do, in this case) and away ye go...

The Motu is staying with the Main Music PC i want the other for my Laptop(Live 5.03)...
I was talking to Robbie at the Frankfurt Music messe and i phoned up a Guy from Tech support TC yesterday and they both said the Konnekt is amazing and knocks spots off Motu and RME 8O .
Better sound,Latency and different Firewire Chips for Transfer rate-i think.
Anyway the lower i go with my samplerate with the MOTU the better the Ti runs but i get Asio problems with Korg,Zeta and other heavy VSTis.
so i have to up my sample rate thus Ti running not so good.
I need this New card for my Laptop as said but i will also try it on the main PC and if it runs better than the MOTU then the MOTU is history

Well of course a guy that works for TC is gonna say their card is better
How long has TC been making soundcards for???? Hmmmm.......
AND, tis the same with any new piece of kit: NEVER BUY THE FIRST LOT OF THE PRESS.
You are just asking for trouble. If you really want the TC card, wait a while for all the suckers, erm, I mean beta testers, erm... I mean first customers to report issues, stability etc.
I would go with RME, but thats just me....

well i got the impression you just need a soundcard which will give you stable drivers and low latancy so why spend so much money on something you dont realy need, are you realy going to need high-end convertion on your portable setup?
if your fixed on medium to high end class, another option from RME which can be used with laptops is the multiface 2+cardbus or 2ndhand first generation multiface+cardbus.

I agree with Jase,
I think its too soon to go for the TC, especially on the back of a TC sales rep's advice.
But there again I am a very happy RME user...

Your right about the TC card i didn't think about that
Ummmmmm. RME or E-MU ????
It will not only be used for Live Performances.
Overtime at work for the RME
Less beer for the E-MU

I had the Fireface for about a year, very nice little card with pretty solid drivers.
Avoid anything by emu like the plague.
