Build Quality
Hello there!
I'm very disappointed by the build quality of my virus, especially the knobs... they don't have the same strenghth and even within one knob, there are regions that are quite easy and others where you need more "strength"...
Am I the only one or do you have the same problem as well?
I definitely will send my TI back to have it repaired...

I've never owned a Virus so can't compare with previous models but the knobs and buttons here on this Polar seem fine and sturdy enough. Each knob moves the same fluent way as every other.

hmm, I've had two virus already, the first one had one single knob that was easier to move than the others, so no real problem. Unfortunately, I changed it to another one due to frequent display errors. Now I've got the second Virus TI Deskop, and its knobs are horrible... Almost every second knob

You'll find that almost every virus (as with most synth manufacturers) will have something about it your not entirely happy with. I got through 5 KC's on my quest.....

The only thing about my C which I don't like are the input/output jacks. Sticky and kind of tight - I feel woried everytime I need to set the thing up fast.
I do feel the Virus isn't up to the same standard as any of my other gear though. The most commonly used knobs (soft knobs mainly in my case) already feel a little thrashed when compared to my my other stuff. Even the CS-10 feels more solid, and the CS is about 30 fucking years old now!

I dont touch the Virus....it sits in my rack and any sound designing/patch creation I use Sound Diver
I agree with HC though, my CS-10 is fekkin rock solid!

sure, my previous virus model had one single knob that was slightly easier to turn, now almost every second knob stands out...
