Default Tempo track cubase glitchyness

Im using the tempo track for the first time, and im trying to slow the song down by 10-20 bpm. Trouble is, the virus seems to produce more pops n clicks, and random detuning when changing the bpm. Im thinking it may be due to my soundcard being a creative x-fi, so ill swap it for my audiophile 2496 sometime and see if that helps. Anyone had any experiance with this?

If your sequencer is sending MIDI clock to Virus, the tempo change affects the time-synced FX and other features of the Virus.

For example a sudden time change in synced delay FX causes a short high pitchshift in the delay. You can try it out by playing a patch with long delay and then manually reducing the delay time while playing.

Summa summarum: Switch off the MIDI clock send from the sequencer if you wish to use tempo changes.

The MIDI clock syncs the Virus tempo to the sequencer tempo. That's all. Without the sequencer clock the Virus will use its own internal clock.
