Default Using Virus B to control XL via Midi?

Hello everybody,
I'm new to this forum and have got the first question regarding those wonderful instruments called Virus...
I own a Virus B and have an opportunity to get a Virus Rack XL for a very good price. Now I ask myself, if I could control the XL via Midi using the B's control knobs. The XL, as it is, would be a bit complicated to control just by its knobs, and I don't use a computer very often to make music. Don't like to stare at a screen while beeing in a creative process.
Since the functions in B and C are similar (not exactly the same, I know), there should be a way to connect them and to remote the XL, which is basicly a C. Are the CC-numbers the same in both units?

Thanks for answering

Arndt

Not sure if the Virus B supports that directly.

The Virus TI can act as *Remote Control* ... but this feature was introduced in the TI generation.

Maybe a programmable MIDI controller would be more suitable.

Or does somebody else know how to accomplish this??

It should be pretty straight forward since the Virus transmits knob movements and the CC# assignments is about the same on all of the Virus series (so cutoff on the B will be cutoff on the XL, etc.). But why have 2 virus´s?

Thanks for answering. There was a possibility to get a Virus XL very cheap, but that's sorted out. The unit went to someone else. No problem for me, because, as Dunkel says, there's no really need to get a second virus. First I was thinking about to get the C-features to control them with the B's knobs, but after all it hasn't got that much advantages over the B.
But it's true, there is a picture to download on the access website showing the preprogrammed CC-numbers of all the knobs on the B's surface. So it actually can be used as a controller for other units.
For those, who might be interested: the direct link doesn't work, so follow the link below, go to support, then to virus b, then scroll down all the way to the bottom of site. There you'll find an item called 'Picture of the B series knob/controller assignments' :
