Virus C Filter Problems

So I've been using my virus c for about 7 months with no problems. I purchased it second hand in very good condition, installed with OS 6.5. Just recently my filters have started to bug up on me. One of my filters is not working.

Every time I use the filters I'm able to manipulate filter 2's cutoff, but filter 1's cutoff doesn't seem to change under any circumstance. The 2nd filter's cutoff is also manipulated when I'm in filter 1's edit section. Filter 1's cutoff problems make for a boring never changing sound.

I've tried updating the OS once again, but I can't seem to figure out how to install updates. I use a macbook with ableton live 7.

I'm so sad I'm having these issues, and am seriously considering sending it off for professional care.

Please inform me on my options
