New sound banks not showing - The Unofficial Access Virus & Virus TI Forum

I have now gotten to grips with the TI which is synced with Logic and all seems good. I seem to be having a problem with new sound banks which I download, I have added the .mid file to the patches folder as outlined in the manual but they fail to show in VC, anyone any ideas?

Hi Mike - the new patches are only found when next starting up your DAW, right i.e. not if you have downloaded them while your DAW is running? Just a thought.

I've not had to restart Logic (

in order to make the new .mid files appear in Virus Control. I can't remember off hand, but I did have to either close the plug-in window and re-open, or remove the plugin from the channel strip and the re-add it.

Cheers for the replies chaps... Just to let you know I did restart Logic and even went to the extent of installing it on my G5 aside from my MBP and the bank will not show in either. I then thought maybe its a fault with the file I downloaded (the free Vengeance set) so duped up a standard .mid file in the ope that would show but it didnt?
