Default no editable presets in virus a

Hello

I hope someone could solve this very strange problem.

I got this old second hand Virus A and everything works (audio, MIDI....), except for this non-irrelevant trouble: I cannot modify any paramater of an existing factory preset (or an empty patch).
Only Master Volume, Value, Parameter, CTRL, EDIT and STORE buttons work; if I touch any other one, the lcd shows that parameter, but the value does'nt change: the final result is that I cannot edit any sound

I hope I have been clear in my explanation, and that someone could understand and solve this strange trouble.

Thanks to all

Bye

hello matt van k,

thanks for the reply.

No I am in the Single mode; anyway the same problem is to be found in the Multimode.

I tried to replace the old OS with the 2.8 version, but I didn't manage.
It seems to receive SySex messages, but in the end of transmission it doesn't restart, so I guess there are also some problems with the system update.

I really don't know what it could be; I think it's not a system bug, because I can modify system preferences; I cannot edit "only" sound paramaters!!!

I hope someone could find the answer.
Thanks you all

yes I know about this option, but it's ON, so that's not it.

the virus recognize the touched parameter, but it doesn't change its value, so I guess that's not a knob problem....
