What does the TI USB latency depend on?

Is it just the Virus TI itself? Or is it also the computer setup, so that different people can have a different latency? I ask because I find my USB latency is too high for live playing and constantly using the analogue outs would mean I need a new audio interface with many audio ins just for the TI in order to have 3 stereo streams into Cubase.
