Default [solved]TI Stuck in update mode :(

Hey folks!

My Virus TI Keyboard is stuck in update mode, I downloaded the latest drivers / OS from Access-Music.

If I turn on the TI, no matter what I try, it always goes into update mode.

If I then launch the VCC, it finds it fine, and says it has version 3.xx etc on there, I have tried to reload the firmware 3 times.

Every time it gets to the 'press OK to reboot your TI' I press OK, and the TI doesn't reboot, and the program just says 'looking for virus TI'

The TI itself says OS Update in progress and 'Connected'.

What do I do?

Shall I try another USB cable??

I had the same trouble trying to upgrade from 2.7.5 to 3.0. I finally gave up and did a complete un-install of the 3.0. To re-install the 2.7.5 software and firmware, I had to a.) put the TI on the RAM A-0 patch, b.) force it into Update Mode (unplug, press Exit key, plug-in), c.) reboot the PC, d.) install 2.7.5. It "finished" successfully and I am "totally integrated" once more. So for now, I am just sticking with 2.7.5.

Hi Phil, thank you for your help, I guess I will have to do the same, not the best that we can't experience version 3.0 software though is it?

Maybe we can find some common ground with system configuration... I am using a Vista 32-Bit system.

I will try a few more things later, and if I am successful, will be sure to let you know how.

OK - I have got it all working on the latest OS 3 now.

As I did 2 things, Im not sure which one fixed it!

My PC connects to the TI via 2 usb cables and a repeater (yes I know you shouldn't use these things, but due to the location I have no choice!).

I took the first cable out, and plugged it into my laptop, and installed the TI drivers via my laptop, it did the update, and now works perfectly.

Plugged the cable back into PC, now works perfectly.

It's certainly not a Vista issue as the laptop also has Vista.

You answered your own question what really the problem was : My PC connects to the TI via 2 usb cables and a repeater (yes I know you shouldn't use these things, but due to the location I have no choice!).
