Default BPM Sync Issues

Hi guys,

Having some sync issues with my TI,.... the bpm led on my virus only stays in time for a few seconds before it jumps and stutters, obviously the sound coming out from the synth does the same. Arp patches are even worse, and when they go crazy from the un synced bpm the sound varies in pitch.....

Is this the synth itself or a problem getting the tempo information from my computer to the synth via USB???

I've tried the last 3 OS on every usb port and none work any better??????

Cheers for any help

Sounds simple but it helped me when my Virus stopped connecting - try buying a new USB cable and seeing if it helps at all.

Default BPM Sync problem solved

Thanks for the replies guys, but I think I have it sorted.

I have the virus on its own port, one port free, and a hub on the other for keyboard sound card and mouse. Also,... getting a power supply for the midi keyboard helps, as it's USB connection isn't sucking power as well as data.

I re-installed OS 3.1 and all is well, even the ARP section works like a dream, I can leave a pattern playing for hours and it stays in sync.

From what I've read in similar posts, it's not the virus buyt the USB connection / setup that causes alot of problems, worth knowing for future setups.

Very happy chappy now, really getting into proper sound design with this synth, what an awesome sound.
