Default virus b: all the buttons keep doing the wrong function

All of a sudden, for no apparent reason, the buttons on my Virus b keep performing the wrong function when pressed.

Also, multiple LEDs on the LFO wave shape are lit at one time, where there should be only one.

I've tried a Global reset on startup, nope. Then I updated the operating system. Still no go. Then I took it to the local guy who services them and got it checked out inside. His verdict is that it is a software issue, the components tested out OK.

Is there a combination of keys to get a test mode up? or some way of resetting the firmware? or any other suggestions??

one catch though, if all the keys have gone doolally, will a key combo work??......

I've scoured the internet but to no avail.

HELP!!!! please x
