Default Virus TI2 Drum Kits - A Virtual Analog Drum Machine?

Hi all! I am thinking of getting a TI2 desktop to go with my Motif XS (I would have the Motif sequence it).

I know the TI2 is capable of producing drum sounds (kicks, snares, percussion, etc) - but are you able to create a "kit" of sounds and assign it to a single midi channel? i.e. have midi channel 10 play all of your kicks, snares, etc as a complete kit?

Or do you have to dedicate an entire MIDI channel to one single drum kit sound? i.e. channel 10 can only play the kick drums?

Thanks for clearing this up!

Separate midi channels, as they are all going to be different sounds.. the TI is a virtual analog synth - it does not have PCM samples or anything similar as far as drum sounds are concerned - all your drum sounds will be synthesised.

right, so you'd be better off sampling the percussion sounds and then getting a sampler or your sequencer to trigger the samples.

Thank you both... I assumed as much but just wanted to make sure. I have a Machinedrum, but I thought it may be fun to use the Virus to generate odd percussion.
