Sticky aftertouch on Virus B?

I'm using an Access Virus B. Sometimes when playing notes I'll press the key for aftertouch effects. It seems that sometimes it sticks...not all the time but the next note I play will have the aftertouch effect as soon as the next note is played, instead of after it is pushed down to activate aftertouch. This even happens if there is a significant space between the notes. I've heard the virus is quirky so I expected it to be buggy. Anyone ever have this happen? Maybe it's not a bug but a setting?
