Default N00b Q - Grabbing > C-H Banks from Virus B

Sorry for the dumb n00b question, but I want to grab the factory patches from my VBD. I can easily get banks A and B, but I can't find a way to dump the rest of the banks without dumping the whole thing.

Can I copy, say, Single banks C, D, etc. into banks A and B and download those via sysex? Or, even better, is there a way to download the single patch banks D-H directly without dumping the entire machine?

Also, secondary question--there are letters at the end of each patch--RP, JS, OK--do these mean something?

Thanks, in advance.

Max

SoundDiver is good for dumping banks or even single patches however you wish.

However only banks A and B are editable singly (editing single patches and saving them individually) on the Virus itself.

The other banks (C-H) have to be written en masse as those banks are stored in Flash ROM. You can't edit them singley and write the patches individually.

They are the initials of the person(s) who designed the patches. I believe, but can't be sure of some of them, that BC is BenCrosland, RP is Rob Papen (I think), HS is Howard Scarr, M@ or MP is Matt Picone, MS could be Matt Stolley, Manuel Schleis, or Marc Schlaile, and so on. I'm unsure of JS, OK, SV, ZS and a few others.

Thank you for your reply.

I don't know where to find sounddiver.. it appears to be MOA?

So, there's no way to just dump banks C-H to external? Can I copy, say all of bank C over to A and then D to B and copy those out?
