Default Cleaning Keyboard Contacts

Can someone tell me whether I am supposed to remove these rubber contacts from the PCB board. How does one do that, they feel stuck down.
Then how do I get them back on, specifically how do I get those little rubber stalks back through the holes ?
cheers

Yes. The carbon contacts are underneath them. See below...

.... Firstly, remember which way the rubber pieces are before you remove them, and be sure place them back the same way. If you rotate them 180° before putting them back on it could mess up the velocity sensing as one carbon 'pad' is slightly lower than the other, per note.

Secondly, watch this guy's video, it shows how to disassemble the rubber, clean all the contacts and reassemble etc.: http://youtu.be/HdWLspNBOWU?t=4m5s (watch from 4:05 mins onwards, it is for a Kurzweil keyboard but the theory is identical.) You may need an awl or toothpick or similar to help push the rubber legs back into the PCB as shown.

There will be several strips of rubber to take off - each only cover a certain range of keys - so you always can try pulling just one off as a test before doing the others, if you wish.
